Summer lodging occupancies continue to trend in a positive manner, with increases ranging from 14-20% above last summer. Expect strong (85-90%+) weekend occupancy through the first weekend in October throughout the valley. While still early, winter occupancies are pacing above last season. A positive note is that the Christmas/New Years holiday week is trending in a positive direction, more comparable with traditional history (last season saw a dip in occupancy for the holiday season). We’re optimistic that new flights from Phoenix and Washington, DC will help grow these markets as well.
