Vail Valley Partnership (VVP) announced today the revamping of the Non-Profit Network (NPN) program designed to enhance the presence of non-profit organizations in the Vail Valley. The Non-Profit Network is the latest of Vail Valley Partnership’s signature programs and is a comprehensive resource for non-profit organizations, providing trainings, data, and tools to sustain and grow their operations.
The Non-profit Network derived from a desire to strengthen the connection between businesses, Vail Valley visitors, and non-profit partners through education, networking and community awareness. As part of the NPN, the Vail Valley Volunteer Connection (VVVC) is an online resource available to all VVP non-profit members that allows them to promote volunteer needs on a live calendar located on both VailValleyPartnership.com and VisitVailValley.com. This comprehensive calendar will help connect interested community members, new residents, second homeowners, guests and other civic organizations to our vibrant non-profit community.
Maren Cerimele, Membership Manager at Vail Valley Partnership said, “We are excited to revamp this signature program designed to increase visibility for non-profits in the Vail Valley.” Cerimele continued, “There are many organizations doing great work to support our community. This is just one way the VVP is working to connect them to additional resources.”
Currently, VailValleyPartnership.com hosts an online business directory of all non-profit organizations with a VVP membership. By the end of 2016, this directory will house a valley-wide list of all non-profits in the region, regardless of membership. VVP’s aim is to provide an all-encompassing list that will be useful for residents and destination guests alike to find a local organization with which to volunteer or support.
Additionally, in partnership with the Eagle River Youth Coalition, VVP is hosting quarterly trainings specifically related to the non-profit industry. Trainings include “How to Recruit and Retain Volunteers” hosted by Colorado Nonprofit Association, and a non-profit social media seminar hosted by Blizzard Press.
Vail Valley Partnership encourages a closer relationship between businesses and non-profit organizations by including the sponsorship of a non-profit as a VVP Member in three of their membership levels. All Gold, Platinum, and Cornerstone level members are able to champion a non-profit to receive Silver level VVP benefits, all at no additional cost. Additionally, any member business can sponsor a non-profit for $350, giving the organization Bronze Level membership benefits.
The following businesses have already generously taken advantage of this opportunity to connect with a local non-profit:
- Alpine Bank is sponsoring Our Community Foundation
- Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Colorado Properties is sponsoring Vail Valley Cares
- Eagle County Schools is sponsoring Celebrate the Beat
