On Saturday, October 31st The Minturn Community Fund, local band, Min’urn Express, and the Minturn Saloon are teaming up once again for their annual Halloween costume party and fundraiser at the Minturn Saloon. For the better part of 15 years the Min’urn Express has rocked the house for what has become the best Halloween party in the valley. The Minturn Saloon turns the dining room into a dance hall for the evening so wear some dancing shoes with your costume. This year’s theme is “Creepy Guys & Dolls”.
The Minturn Community Fund exists to connect people, enhance lives, and preserve the culture of Minturn. The MCF is responsible for the Summer Concert Series at Little Beach Park, the community garden, Yoga in the Park, and the Neighbors in Need programs. The Halloween fundraiser has been going on in one form or another for 25 years and during that run has raised over $60,000 for the Minturn Community Fund and other local charities.
A donation to the Minturn Community Fund of $20 gets you in the door. The first 100 people will also get a free draft beer courtesy of Coor’s “Tap the Rockies”. The Minturn Saloon will be open at its usual time of 4pm in the bar and 5:30 for dinner so come early to enjoy local dinner specials before the dancing starts. The party starts at 8pm and there will be prizes for the best costumes. Don’t miss it! For more information call 970-827-5954.
