Saturday, November 28, 2015 is Small Business Saturday® – a day to celebrate and support our local small businesses and all they do for the Vail Valley. Please join the Vail Valley Partnership in making a big difference by shopping small on November 28.
The Vail Valley Partnership (VVP), the Regional Chamber of Commerce, has stepped into the role of Neighborhood Champion for the American Express Small Business Saturday® initiative. The VVP provides the valley’s businesses with networking, educational and collaborative opportunities with the goal of strengthening our local business community, making it a natural fit to spearhead the Small Business Saturday effort. As a Neighborhood Champion, the VVP will receive Shop Small® merchandise to distribute throughout the business community to raise awareness for customers and help get businesses involved in this nation-wide day. Additionally, the VVP office will be open every Wednesday in November from 9am-11am for businesses to stop in and pick up the Small Business Saturday promotional items.
“We are pleased to have been selected as a Neighborhood Champion by American Express and look forward to helping support and promote the vibrant small business community in the valley,” said Chris Romer, President and CEO of the Vail Valley Partnership.
The VVP is launching a Small Business Saturday kickoff event on Wednesday, October 21st at the Dusty Boot in Beaver Creek from 5pm-7pm. All businesses throughout the valley are welcome to attend. The event is free for VVP members and a $20 donation to our nonprofit of the month, Red Ribbon Project, is suggested for the public. If you would like to attend this kickoff party, please RSVP to Haley McNeill at haley@visitvailvalley.com or 970-477-4027.
The VVP is emphatic on supporting and strengthening the economic vitality of the Vail Valley. This includes helping all businesses succeed, not just members. The Vail Valley Partnership will be keeping a comprehensive list of all Small Business Saturday promotions on their website and distributing this information through their weekly e-newsletters and social media. To get your small business promotion on the list, contact the Vail Valley Partnership’s Communications and Marketing Manager, Ashley Albrecht: Ashley@visitvailvalley.com or 970-477-4029. This dedication to all small businesses in the valley goes hand-in-hand with the VVP’s new One Valley Partner program that aims to list all businesses in the online Business Directory (www.VailValleyPartnership.com/business-directory).
