Night Plane Performs Sat., May 30, at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park’s Music on the Mountain
Guests can ride the tram or bus and attend the concert free with the donation of canned food items for the LiftUp food pantry. Cans-for-a-tram rides begin at 4 p.m.; Night Plane performs from 6 to 10 p.m.
Glenwood Springs, Colo. (May 28, 2015) — Music on the Mountain, Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park’s free, mountain-top concert series, continues Sat., May 30, with local acoustic rock band Night Plane. Guests can ride the tram or bus and enjoy the concert free with the donation of at least one canned food item for the LiftUp community food pantry. The community donated 695 cans of food during last week’s concert, bringing the total number collected since the series’ inception in 2009 to 44,293.
Night Plane features longtime valley locals, singers and songwriters Haden Gregg, Jimmy Dykann and John Zajicek performing original selections and cover tunes. Free tram rides begin at 4 p.m. The band plays from 6 to 10 p.m. AlwaysMountainTime.com, the sponsor of this week’s concert, has 11 radio stations in Colorado mountain resort communities, including KSPN and The Lift FM.
The Lookout Grille and Snack Shack are open for dinner and refreshments, with drink specials available inside and in the plaza. Guests can also enjoy the park’s rides and attractions during the events. A Funday Pass, just $35 with the free tram ride, includes both walking cave tours and unlimited access to the all of the park’s rides and most attractions. The outdoor rides are open until dusk; the Laser Tag arena and 4D Motion Theater are open until the park closes.
Music on the Mountain continues June 6 with Poser, Colorado rock and roll; June 13 with Already Gone, American resort rock; Aug. 15 with Fifty50, classic, modern and original rock; Aug. 22 with The Goodman Band, Stevie Ray Vaughan cover tunes and classic rock; Aug. 29 with Vidicus Maximus, provocative grooves, soul, rock and blues; Sept. 12 with Derringer, country rock; Sept. 13 with Christian Music on the Mountain; Sept. 19 with the Mile Markers, Americana rock, and wraps up Sept. 26 with The Missing Link Band, classic rock, dance, funk and groove tunes.
