The WinterWonderGrass Festival will be returning to Avon February 20th-22nd for its 3rd annual music and brews festival in Nottingham Park and this year a WinterWonderGrass Kick Off Party will take place at The Vilar Performing Arts Center (VPAC), 7:30PM Thursday February 19th . The VPAC will host a special night with Colorado favorites, Elephant Revival and Bonfire Dub (acoustic) with very special guests from the WinterWonderGrass Festival line-up. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 day of show and are on sale NOW at the VPAC Box Office (970.845.8497/www.vilarpac.org). The VPAC is located under the ice rink in Beaver Creek Village (68 Avondale Lane, Beaver Creek, Colorado).
Executive Director Kris Sabel states, “We are proud to be a partner with Town of Avon and WinterWonderGrass this year. We have a long history of presenting these bands at the VPAC and this opening night concert is a great intimate way to kick off the festival weekend by coming inside and having an up close experience with these artists and brewers in the unique setting of the Vilar Center.”
In addition to the amazing music in the intimate Beaver Creek setting, the night will include a curated photo gallery in the lobby of the VPAC with signed photographs from past WinterWonderGrass festivals. The photos will be included in a silent auction of which all proceeds will be donated to the festival’s 2015 non profits: Walking Mountains, Chris Anthony Youth Foundation and All Hands Volunteers.
The night at the VPAC will also include brew talks and Q+A with featured WinterWonderGrass brewers between music sets with hand-picked brews and on-sale at the bars. Doors are at 7pm and the music starts at 7:30.
