Event organizers announced today that Vail America Days will return to Vail Village and Lionshead throughout the Fourth of July weekend, July 4 – July 6, 2014.

Vail’s event-filled Fourth of July celebration, Vail America Days, continues to be a top destination for those looking to celebrate the summer holiday in a fun and safe mountain environment. For 2014, the celebration includes spectacular fireworks, a classic town parade through the heart of Vail Village and Lionshead, with live music and more throughout the weekend.

Entertainment will include Vail’s celebrated 4th of July parade this year with the theme of Vail Welcomes the World, a traditional fireworks display planned in Vail from Golden Peak (conditions permitting), live musical entertainment throughout the weekend featuring family music, Jazz, and the annual Patriotic concert from Bravo! Vail with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. For the family, there will be an array of children’s activities – as always complemented by all that Vail summer has to offer on and off the mountain.

The Vail Welcomes the World themed parade will begin at Golden Peak at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 4 and will wind its way through the villages, ending in Lionshead. Vail’s parade is one of the most popular events during the Independence Day holiday, attracting thousands of spectators. A variety of celebrations featuring musical entertainment, a patriotic concert and a fireworks display at dusk are planned.

Fourth of July celebrations continue at noon and throughout the remainder of the day with free entertainment and music in Vail Village at Solaris Plaza with the 4th of July White Light Bash Live, which will be open to the public from 12 p.m. through 9 p.m.

In addition to the variety of other events taking place as part of the weekend, at 2 p.m. on the Fourth of July, the annual patriotic concert performed by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, presented by Bravo! Vail and the Vail Valley Foundation, will take place at the Ford Amphitheater. All pavilion tickets will go on sale Tuesday, July 1 at 8 a.m. Each purchaser is limited to four tickets at $15 per ticket and will be available only to walk up customers at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater Box Office.

The celebration in Vail continues throughout the day and into the evening and will culminate with a fireworks show at Golden Peak on July 4th at dusk. The fireworks will be synchronized to a powerful musical soundtrack and the show is suitable for all ages! The Town of Vail asks that you join as stewards of the surrounding national forest. The use of all personal fireworks is prohibited.
