In December 2013, the Colorado Health Institute, in partnership with the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT), unveiled a statewide strategic plan to create jobs and economic growth in the health and wellness industry.
The report, titled “Healthy Economy, Healthy Colorado: A Strategic Action Plan for Colorado’s Health and Wellness Industry,” reveals that the industry accounts for $40 billion-plus in annual economic activity, makes up 15.3 percent of the gross state product and employs more than 360,000 workers. The sector is poised for growth, but local health and wellness businesses must be proactive and strategic in achieving success.
Healthcare and wellness businesses are major drivers of our regional economy and this strategic plan provides a roadmap to assist industry partners in strongly positioning themselves for the future.
Please join us for this important conversation about a sector that will drive an increasing proportion of our regional economy in the years to come.
Registration is free to NWCCOG, VVP Health and Wellness Initiative and Healthy Communities Coalition partners. $10 for VVP members $25 for all others.
