Tickets are selling fast for the amazing TEDxVailWomen event on Dec. 5 at the Edwards Interfaith Chapel in Edwards, near Vail. The event features speakers, live and live- streamed from San Francisco, giving inspiring talks that elevate the community. What makes this TEDx event special is that it has a global scale and impact but also reflects and engages many diverse parts of the Vail community.
Stone Creek Middle Schoolers will deliver their first ever TEDx talks about their ideas for improving our world. Battle Mountain High School Honors Students have been working tirelessly to create interactive “art and ideas spaces” and to build sets for the many activities that go along with TEDxVailWomen. These include facilitated Art Workshops, Random-Acts-Of-Kindness card-making; Creating a Community Bucket List; Integrating Inspiring Ideas into our community, facilitated by the Vail Leadership Institute. SKEA will provide a clothing technology station, local musicians will entertain, and food will be served at breaks and lunch.

Dr. Susan Canney, head of the Mali Elephant project, talks about how saving a herd of elephants in Mali has transformed perceptions, communities and lives.
Dr. Kim Langmaid, Founder Walking Mountains, offers her perspectives about sustainability leadership in the 21st century.
Christina Danyluk explains how it is possible to change a life‐threatening condition from an obstacle to a path to freedom, allowing us to live naturally awake.
Asher Jay, a conservation artist, explores how our inability to perceive what has been lost to us prevents us from valuing and conserving what remains.
Morgan Heim tells of her adventure to find and protect an endangered animal that lives half a world away, and reveals how her experience can change how we connect with the causes around us.
Elysa Walk, General Manager of Giant Bikes, reveals how cycling can transform the body and mind, and enable a unique connection with nature and a community.
Mikela Tarlow reconstructs an education vision of the future – one that truly builds world-ready citizens.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
