Vail Valley Partnership today announced thirteen award categories, including three new to its annual Success Awards event. The respective categories for this year’s Success Awards are as follows:
New categories to this year’s Success Awards include; Best Place to Work, Health & Wellness Leadership Award and Hospitality Professional of the Year. The Partnership created the three new categories to further encompass contributing organizations and individuals throughout the Vail Valley. Because the Vail Valley is a health & wellness destination, as well as a world-renowned hospitality-orientated ski resort, the Partnership felt it was only appropriate to recognize the standouts in each category.“We are happy to once again help recognize the Vail Valley business community via the 11th Annual Success Awards. New this year are Best Place to Work, Health & Wellness Leadership Award and the Hospitality Professional of the Year – designed to spotlight our key industries and both organizational and individual leaders within the business community,” said Chris Romer, CEO and president of Vail Valley Partnership.
Success Award nominations opened on Monday, October 28. The public is able to nominate organizations or individuals of their choice until 5 pm on Wednesday, November 13 when nominations will close. Once all those nominated have been informed, each nominee will have until Wednesday, November 20 to complete the application form to be officially considered for their respective category. In order to be eligible for an award category, all nominees must be Vail Valley Partnership members and in good financial standing.
The Success Awards selection committee, consisting of people from a variety of Vail Valley businesses and industries, will meet to choose the top three finalists in each category, with the exception of Member of the Year and the Customer Service Award. The Member of the Year award is chosen by Vail Valley Partnership staff and the Customer Service Award goes to the overall winner of the Platinum Service Program. The winners of all award categories will be announced at the 11th Annual Success Awards on Friday, January 31, 2014 at the Vilar Performing Arts Center in Beaver Creek.
