  • Lynn Cohagan Art Display at Vail Library

Summer resident, Lynn Cohagan, will be displaying her original oil paintings in the library’s newly renovated community room July 12 through 30. As a special benefit to the Friends of the Library, Lynn will donate 40% of any painting sale to the Library with tax deduction available to the buyer. You will recognize such scenes as Gore Creek, Gore Range, and the top of Lionshead. To capture the true colors and atmosphere, Lynn paints all her scenes outdoors, on site. Even in the winter, she loves an outdoor set up. The effect of this plein air painting method is to make the experience more immediate for the viewer and more personal in feeling.

Lynn has shown at the Davis Gallery in Austin and the Hunt Gallery in San Antonio and in group shows at the University of Texas, Austin and Texas A &M. She has a BA in Fine Arts from UT and has done postgraduate classes at The New York Studio School. For details on the benefits to the Library, contact Lynn Cohagan 512-567-3512. Her paintings are on view at www.cohaganart.com. She is available to do paintings of homes or landscapes on commission. Please join Lynn for a reception Thursday July 18 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. in the Vail Public Library’s Community Room.
