  • Vail Valley Partnership Named “Best Destination Marketing Organization”

Vail Valley Partnership (VVP) today announced that it has been awarded the title of “Best Destination Marketing Organization” in a town or area of less than 25,000 people. The local chamber and tourism bureau earned the esteemed recognition by Colorado Meetings + Events’ 2013 Best of Colorado. Vail Valley Partnership and other category winners of the annual awards event were announced on Tuesday, March 26 in Denver.

Readers of the magazine are asked to choose their picks through a choice vote, the top nominees are notified and then, the winners were revealed at the Best Of party and will be recognized in a special issue of the magazine. This is the second time that Vail Valley Partnership has received this honor; in 2011 the organization took the top prize in its category.

In the Vail Valley community, the Partnership is the only nonprofit organization working to promote tourism for the entire Eagle River Valley. Vail Valley Partnership supports tourism efforts through its event recruitment with signature events like Tough Mudder – Beaver Creek & Ride the Rockies, group & leisure sales, a year-round vacation guide and strong web presence through http://www.visitvailvalley.com/. Through its diverse partnership with other organizations and associations, VVP is able to place a large and year-round emphasis on tourism efforts with a focus on groups & meetings.

“Vail Valley Partnership is thrilled to be recognized by the readers of Colorado Meetings & Events Magazine as the readers’ choice of “Best Destination Marketing Organization.” This recognition reinforces our mission to take a leadership role, results in driving increased destination tourism in Eagle County and also validates the efforts of our local stakeholders – lodges, the Vail Local Marketing District, the Beaver Creek Resort Company and others – to drive increased group business to our valley,” said Chris Romer, president and CEO of Vail Valley Partnership.
