Vail Valley Partnership (VVP) today announced that Sandra Perrig-Holst has joined the team as a Group Sales Manager. Sandra comes to the Partnership with group experience from her previous position at the Vail Racquet Club Mountain Resort. As the former Group Sales & Wholesale Manager, Sandra communicated with local, domestic and international sources to secure group business, as well as participated in tradeshows to establish new relationships and build additional contacts. Sandra joins a team of four other group sales managers including, Kim Brussow, John Carter, Heather Kerstiens and Danielle McNair.
At the Partnership, Sandra will focus her efforts on the Western region of the country to bring group and meeting programs to the Vail Valley. In addition, Sandra will also work to bring participatory sporting events and events to the area. In previous years, the Partnership has helped to secure events like Tough Mudder in Beaver Creek, Diva Half Marathon and Ride the Rockies. As unique athletic offerings like Tough Mudder continue to become increasingly popular, destinations like the Vail Valley offer a diverse range of venues, outdoor facilities and lodging options to appeal to the traveling participant.
“I am very happy and proud to be a part of the Vail Valley Partnership team and I am excited to partake in projects that will bring visitors, both new and returning, to this wonderful valley that we all call home,” said Sandra Perrig-Holst.
Recruiting groups, meetings and weddings to the Vail Valley is something the Partnership places a large and year-round emphasis on. Last year, VVP destination sales and marketing efforts resulted in $69,000,000 of direct spending in the Eagle River Valley.
“We are pleased to have Sandra join the Partnership’s sales team to build on our momentum in both groups & meetings from Texas, as well as our event recruiting efforts,” said Chris Romer, president and CEO of Vail Valley Partnership.
