Troon Prive´ the private club operating division of Troon Golf, just completed an early-membership effort to former members and property owners which, in less than six weeks, has already resulted in more than 300 members joining the private Vail Valley golf club in Edwards, Colo., interim general manager Mike Henritze announced today. As outreach begins to the general public on March 15, over 180 have been placed on the interest list— those expressing interest in the early offering.
“This is an important step toward restoring the vibrancy of this extraordinary golf club,” Henritze said. “Our goal was to first reach out to past members and Cordillera property owners,” he explained. “The response has been both overwhelming and electrifying. Our job now is to deliver the quality and excellent service to our members for which Troon Prive´ is known.”
“The early offering is unprecedented in the value offered for residents of the Vail Valley, locals and second homeowners,” he said. “Particularly in resort communities, people who are in tune with the active lifestyle make their Club decisions based on the connection with other club members. The Club at Cordillera attracts an array of members seeking to enjoy the world-class facilities and enrich their lives and their community. The fact that we are able to offer the exclusively private experience and facilities of The Club at Cordillera for a price that is not out-of-reach is gratifying to see.”
“The Club at Cordillera, with three courses, designed by Nicklaus, Fazio and Irwin and the associated Clubhouse facilities set in one of the most beautiful resorts in the world is a flagship property for Troon Prive´,” said John Easterbrook, Troon’s executive vice president, operations. “This is arguably one of the premier mountain golf club communities in America, and there is no doubt that members who have made it their home club are both passionate and engaged in its success.”
Through Troon’s involvement, full golf members of The Club at Cordillera gain immediate access at more than 30 world-class private clubs through the Troon Privé Privilege program, as well as to the Troon Advantage program, which provides preferred rates at more than 85 Troon-managed properties around the world.
The Club at Cordillera is one of the largest exclusive golf communities in North America, covering 12 square miles in the heart of Colorado’s Vail Valley, 120 miles west of Denver. Offering a combination of incomparable golf, dining, and a lively social calendar, The Club at Cordillera provides facilities of the highest quality. From the Vail Valley floor to Cordillera’s summit, Tom Fazio, Hale Irwin, and Jack Nicklaus have crafted three extraordinary golf courses, each with an award-winning clubhouse.
