The Vail Valley Partnership- the Chamber & Tourism Bureau today announced fifteen award categories, including seven new to its annual Success Awards event. The respective categories for this year’s Success Awards are as follows:
New to this year’s Success Awards categories include; Small Non-Profit of the Year, Mid-Size Business of the Year, Most Uniquely Vail Valley, Legacy Award, Local Marketing Campaign of the Year, Industry/Merchant Association of the Year and Customer Service Award. The Partnership made the decision to create new categories like those for the mid-size business and small non-profit organization to further encompass contributing businesses and organizations throughout the Vail Valley.“We are pleased to add new categories to the Success Awards to spotlight additional business segments of our business community. The addition of awards such as the Legacy Award and the Local Marketing Campaign expand the awareness of the great things happening in the business community,” said Chris Romer, executive director of Vail Valley Partnership.
Success Award nominations open on Wednesday, October 17th. The public is able to nominate businesses or individuals of their choice until 5 pm on Friday, November 9th when nominations will close. Once all those nominated have been informed, each nominee will have until Friday, November 16th to complete the application form to be officially considered for their respective category. The Success Award selection committee will meet to choose the finalists and will announce the Non-Profit of the Year award winner shortly after. The winners of the remaining categories will be announced at the 10th annual Success Awards on Friday, February 1, 2013 at the Vilar Performing Arts Center.
