On Saturday, August 18th, Crazy Mountain Brewing Company will host its Second Annual Alpine Insurance Agency Ed Fest: a beer and community festival from 3:00pm – 7:00pm. “Ed” is short for Edwards, and this festival will bring the party to the Riverwalk in Edwards.
Over 20 breweries will showcase their craft beers from around the nation. Festival-goers can sample beer from: Avery, Bonfire, Breckenridge, Bristol, Crazy Mountain, Del Norte, Duvel, Fort Collins, Great Divide, La Chouffe, Left Hand, Odell, Ommegang, Oskar Blues, Palisade, Redstone Meadery, Rockyard, San Luis Valley, Ska, Stone, and Twisted Pine breweries.
Aside from the vast beer selection, the Second Annual Alpine Insurance Agency Ed Fest will also offer an amazing entertainment lineup for attendees. Headlining the festival is none other than Colorado fan favorite, the Emmitt-Nershi Band, featuring Drew Emmitt of Leftover Salmon and Bill Nershi from String Cheese Incident. This progressive bluegrass band tours nationally and is excited to play Ed Fest in their home state of Colorado. Opening for the Emmitt-Nershi Band is the eclectic and high-energy group, Frogs Gone Fishin’, a heavy-hitting rock and funk band.
Crazy Mountain Special Events Planner, Holly Velvis, said it was an easy decision when it came to selecting the live entertainment for Ed Fest. “Bluegrass music and craft beer are quintessential Colorado. Emmitt-Nershi truly embodies this vibe and we are thrilled to showcase them at Ed Fest.”
Proceeds from the Second Annual Alpine Insurance Agency Ed Fest will benefit the Eagle Valley Land Trust, a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving open lands for people – for the views, recreation, wildlife agriculture and Colorado landscapes right here in the Eagle River Valley.
Pre-sale tickets to Ed Fest are $35 and available online at Ed Fest, at Crazy Mountain Brewery’s tasting room, and at select liquor stores throughout the Vail Valley. Tickets will be $40 at the door.
