Mark your calendars for the Town of Vail’s 13th annual neighborhood picnic series Tuesday, July 10 at Bighorn Park and Tuesday, Aug. 14 at Donovan Park. Each picnic will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and free food and drink will be provided by the town on a first-come, first-served basis. The picnics provide residents an opportunity to offer comments and suggestions about community issues.
The first outing at Bighorn Park will be hosted by the Town Council and representatives from the public works, fire and finance departments. Joining the Town Council as hosts of the second picnic at Donovan Park will be staff from the community development, police, administration and library departments.
In addition to the two neighborhood gatherings, citizens are encouraged to share their ideas, concerns and suggestions at any time by calling the Vail Town Council voice mail at 479-1860, ext. 8. Also, the town’s website at www.vailgov.com includes information on town issues and projects as well as e-mail links and phone numbers for all departments.
