The spirit of Colorado and summertime come together during Avon’s Inaugural Reds, Whites & Brews Festival, a brand-new event that features an afternoon of unlimited wine and beer tastings from up to 20 breweries and 20 wineries in centrally located Nottingham Park. The festival runs from noon until 5 pm on Saturday, August 4.
Reds, Whites & Brews will come alive with the sights and sounds of neighbors and valley visitors sipping and mingling all afternoon to American inspired tunes – the FREE live music line-up features Colorado bands Nate King and The Disintegrators (rock and blues), Finnders and Youngberg (bluegrass) and headliner Hillbilly Hellcats, one of the nation’s top rockabilly bands.
Said Holli Snyder, General Manager of NRC365 in Avon, “We feel it is important to keep the tickets reasonably priced so everyone can attend.”
Unlimited beer and wine sampling is available with early bird pricing – tickets range from $25 to $65 for a VIP ticket. VIP guests will enjoy a private area with catered food, and wine and beer tastings from a keepsake glass commemorating the inaugural event. Advance ticket sales end at noon, Friday, August 3rd. Tickets are slightly higher at the gate.
Brewers include local favorites Bonfire Brewing and Crazy Mountain Brewing, as well as Boulder Brewing, Aspen Brewing and Alaska brewing. Veraison Beverage Distributors will be on hand representing vintners from the US and around the globe, including California and Italy.
Unique to Reds, Whites & Brews is the Wine v. Beer Challenge Dinner on Friday, August 3 at Avon’s Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa, just a few paces from the Park. Special Avon Lodging rates are available to Reds, Whites and Brews festival goers both Friday, August 3rd and Saturday, August 4th.
Danita Chirichillo, Special Events Supervisor with The Town of Avon, said, “This is not the average Vail Valley beer or wine fest! Avon is friendly and welcoming and with amazing weather that makes summer in the Colorado high country so special. Nottingham Park is convenient to bus service, biking paths and several hotels, so everyone can enjoy the day, and evening, responsibly.”
