In response to the many destructive fires blazing across the state of Colorado, Destination Services (DSC) is supporting the efforts of Care and Share Food Bank and the Goodwill in Colorado Springs by assisting all that have been affected by this devastation; the displaced, the volunteers and the emergency responders.
DSC created an email campaign targeting our hotel partners and vendors, in both Denver and Vail, to collect a number of supplies from towels and bedding to food and water. The communication was sent out the morning of Wednesday, June 27th, and within minutes supportive responses came flowing in. ‘We are so appreciative that DSC came to pick up our donations. I want to express my sincere sorrow for the loss your teammates have experienced in the Springs, it is tragic….All of our love and support from the Embassy Suites Denver Downtown team,’ stated Alicia Williams, Catering Manager.
DSC would like to thank our hospitality and supplier partners that stepped up quickly with donations: The Brown Palace Denver, Marriott City Center Denver, Vail Marriott, The Curtis Hotel Denver, Embassy Suites Downtown Denver, Hyatt Regency Downtown Denver, Grand Hyatt, Westin Riverfront Resort, Lodge at Lionshead, Destination Resorts, Charter at Beaver Creek, Lodge at Cordillera, Holiday Inn Vail, Antlers Vail, Presidential Worldwide Transportation, Fastlane Productions, ACD, Vail Valley Partnership, Visit Denver and AlliedPRA. POSH Linen & Design and Prudential Real Estate in the Vail Valley made transportation available to DSC by loaning their vans and trucks so supplies could be delivered to Colorado Springs, and 3 truckloads have already been distributed. ‘We are thrilled at the outpour of support from our partners. Once again the hospitality industry has come together as a family to make a difference in Colorado.
