Vail Valley Blogsite Enhancements

Dear Vail Valley Partnership Members,

The Vail Valley Partnership’s blog site has been re-launched with a number of enhancements. The new blog will be a better resource for both local businesses and destination visitors. The enhanced blog will improve visibility of member websites and be a source for local news, tourism information, lodging offers & more.

The Vail Valley Blogsite is a VVP marketing tool that can be used to increase partner web presence & member awareness, as well as provide reliable and timely resources to tourists and visitors to the area.

Our new blog model includes categorized blog channels that support our role as both the Chamber (business resources, news, local information, etc.) and Destination Marketing Organization (tourism information, lodging deals, things to do, etc.). Our new blog will be used to schedule timely, relevant and useful content for a variety of categories on a weekly basis throughout the year. The new categories include:

  • Chamber News & Information

  • Community Resources

  • Dining & Nightlife

  • Environment

  • Events & Activities

  • Groups & Meetings

  • Health & Wellness

  • Lodging Deals & Specials

  • Philanthropy

  • Recreation & Things to Do

  • Transportation

  • Vacation Planning & Tips

  • Wedding
  • As a member of the Partnership, what does this mean for you? With the new categorization of timely and relevant content, this means that the blog will have better search visibility and findability for your business information. This means that content will be posted to achieve optimal indexation in Google and other search engines. This also means that the user will have a better and easier search experience.

We will post on a variety of topics related to local business topics & destination tourism such as: “Events that Kick Start Summer,” “Small Business Resources to Help You Succeed,” “Sustainable Practices You Can Implement,” “Off-Season Dining Specials,” “Technology Tips,” etc. Member businesses are encouraged to submit blog posts to highlight their market segments and/or industries and will receive reciprocal links to their sites.

As we transition to our new publishing model, all flyers and PDFs sent to the Partnership will be uploaded to our other social media channels; Facebook pages, Twitter account, LinkedIn group, event calendars, etc., while member press releases will be posted in our newsroom.

Please feel free to call or email Kathryn Bevin with any questions or call 970-477-4029. We are also looking to solicit ideas for blog posts from you, our members, so please email us with any ideas!
