  • Brian Nolan Honored with Regional Outstanding Professional Signature Dish Award

GROUP970 is proud to announce that Brian Nolan, company owner and operator and 20+year resident of the Vail Valley, has been selected by the Colorado Restaurant Association (CRA) as a recipient of the Regional Outstanding Professional Signature Dish Award. Nolan shares the distinguished honor with Liz Wahl, of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Company.

The Regional Outstanding Professional Signature Dish Award honors individuals making extraordinary contributions in the hospitality industry and in their community, demonstrating leadership and innovation. The award is one of eight awards presented by the CRA annually as a part of their Industry Spotlight Awards, recognizing stand-out restaurant and hospitality professionals throughout the State of Colorado. This year’s CRA Industry Spotlight Awards event, honoring all fifteen award winners, will be held at the Ritz Carlton in Denver on Wednesday, April 4th.

Nolan has been in the restaurant business for most of his life and has played an active role in the local restaurant community, and the Vail Valley community as a whole, since moving to the area in 1989. As Owner of GROUP970 Restaurants, operators of the Beaver Creek Chophouse, the Vail Chophouse, Blue Moose Pizza in Beaver Creek and Vail, Foxnut Sushi and the Flying Pig BBQ & Sandwich Shop, Nolan (and the GROUP970 team) has maintained a consistent focus of filling the next needed niche in the area and providing the local community with great restaurant concepts and locations.
