The Vail Valley Partnership- the Chamber & Tourism Bureau today announced that it will host two special beer pairing dinners in the month of May. The dinners will benefit the Vail Valley Volunteer Connection in efforts to raise awareness of volunteerism and the Vail Valley Volunteer Center in the community, as well as support the publication of a summer volunteer guide. The volunteer guide will be distributed as an insert in local newspapers and throughout the valley to highlight all of VVP’s non-profits and their signature summer volunteer opportunities.
The Vail Valley Volunteer Connection is an online resource offered to all VVP non-profit members as a way to promote their volunteer needs and to connect interested community members, new residents, second homeowners, guests and other civic organizations to our vibrant non-profit community. Participating non-profits are arranged by industry segment and within each division, organizational information, current volunteer opportunities and contact information is listed. Individuals interested in volunteering throughout the valley can easily navigate online to find the opportunity that fits both their interests and abilities.
The first of the beer pairing dinners will take place at the Dusty Boot in Eagle with beer provided by Great Divide Brewing Company. The event will include a complimentary beer upon arrival, a four-course dinner and a drink paired with each course. Tickets are $50 for VVP members or $60 for non-VVP members. The second beer pairing dinner will be held at Ludwig’s in the Sonnenalp Resort with beer provided by Oskar Blues Brewing Company and a four-course dinner paired with beer. Tickets are $65 for VVP members and $80 for non-VVP members.
The beer pairing dinners provide members of the community, both VVP members and non-VVP members, the chance to help support their non-profit network throughout Vail Valley. “The Vail Valley Volunteer Connection is an opportunity to connect interested community members to our non-profit members in need of volunteers. Thanks to the Dusty Boot & Ludwig’s, these fund-raising dinners will allow us to promote this valuable new service to the entire community,” said Chris Romer, executive director of Vail Valley Partnership.
