Under the direction of the Manager of Strategic Impact and the Executive Director, this position supports the mission of the organization by building community partnerships and administering impaired and distracted driving prevention work, as defined in the Office of Behavioral Health (OBH) and Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) partnership scopes.
Position Responsibilities
Impaired Driving Prevention Planning and Coordination
• Lead data collection, assessment and capacity building activities
• Support the development and implementation of strategies and oversee delivery of those strategies with all partners
• Engage community stakeholders representing various sectors
• Plan and lead stakeholder meetings
• Engaging local establishments in safe driving message campaigns

Distracted Driving Prevention Planning and Coordination
• Coordinate the delivery of Graduated Driver’s License (GDL) presentations with schools and partners for local youth and families
• Support GDL message campaigns and awareness
• Lead a youth planning and design process to create distraction-free driving signage

Safe Driving Administration
• Participate in monthly OBH grantee calls and monthly Colorado Young Drivers Alliance calls, and other committees as appropriate
• Participate in monthly Eagle County Prevention Committee Meetings and support safe driving efforts and events
• Attend and support Eagle Valley High School Devils Against Destructive Decisions (DADD) student club meetings and alternative activity events
• Use agency and OBH tracking systems to maintain a record of work completed
• Support reporting processes, inform grant documents, and ensure completion of workplan activities
• Coordinate media strategies with CDOT, OBH, and the ERYC Marketing Coordinator including general press releases, media announcements, and statewide and local media campaign efforts with strategic partners
• Maintain safe driving page on ERYC website and contribute to social media strategies
• Attend trainings, grantee in-person meetings, and conferences as available and as needed.

General Office
• Participate in ERYC team meetings
• Perform general office duties and support with ERYC projects as needed
• Support in fundraising efforts and sustainability strategies to maintain the work of the overall coalition
• Be a champion for youth and advocate for policies, practices, and efforts that support their overall healthy development

Additional Qualifications:
Interest in and commitment to positive youth, family and community development, as well as overall community health and safety. Bilingual English/ Spanish language speaking and bicultural preferred. Nonprofit and safe driving experience preferred, or equivalent combination of experience and training.

Salary and Benefits: This part-time hourly position will average ~20 hours per week. The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience. ($20-$25/hour).
