The Human Resource Manager will lead and manage the functions of the Human Resources (HR) department for a 503(c) organization (60 staff members). Responsibilities include talent acquisition, administering benefits and leave programs, managing employee relations and performance review practices and enforcing company policies and procedures.

Location: Vail, CO.

Classification: full time , exempt position eligible for benefits

Compensation: starting at $80k annually DOE

Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities 

  • Partner with the leadership team to understand and implement the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting and retention.
  • Manage the talent acquisition process, which includes recruitment, interviewing, hiring and onboarding of job applicants. Collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for exempt professional roles and non-exempt positions.
  • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Oversee employee relations issues including workplace resolution, terminations and investigations.
  • Manage employee benefits administration and open enrollment, utilizing HRIS.
  • Liaise with Payroll to ensure seamless and accurate enrollment in benefits and compensation functions.
  • Generate ad hoc reports and analyses as requested.
  • Perform other HR related duties as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required.
  • Three to five years of human resource management experience preferred.
  • Certification in HR field preferred, such as HRCI-PHR, SHRM-CP or World at Work-CCP.
  • Prior HR experience in healthcare, preferred.
  • Prior HR experience in the science and research field preferred.
  • Must be well versed in HR regulatory compliance such as FMLA, ADA, ADEA, Title VII, ERISA, HIPAA and COBRA.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and work flow management skills required.
