The Cycle Effect works to provide young women equal opportunity and access to the sport of mountain biking. Position

This is a full-time, year-round position, reporting to the Sr. Director of Development and Operations located in Eagle, CO. The Development Coordinator serves as a key team member and an active participant in all aspects of fundraising for The Cycle Effect. 

Position Responsibilities: 

Fundraising:

  • Collaborate with the Development Staff to increase fundraising efforts throughout the organization.
  • Support Sr Director of Development & Operations with identifying, qualifying and cultivating major donors, including donor research, coordinating meetings, tracking outreach, and supporting the relationship in an effort to grow the pipeline.
  • Spearhead all donor management and relationship building for grassroots and mid-level donors in all TCE counties, including:
    • Maintain a portfolio of grassroots and mid-level donors
    • Develop strategies for solicitation and stewardship of donors, while building relationships and prospecting new donors
    • Develop and execute personalized strategies to increase donor engagement. 
    • Communicate persuasively and professionally through meetings, proposals, appeal letters, email and telephone. 
    • Increase online and monthly giving awareness and initiatives 
    • Manage and organize all donor lists with attention to detail and increased knowledge of donors 
    • Collaborate with Marketing Manager on grassroots and peer-to-peer giving campaigns 
  • Process, track, and monitor all money including: scanning checks, depositing money, and monthly financial reconciliation.
  • Assist with management of donor database (Salesforce), gift entry, sending tax acknowledgments, properly thanking donors.
  • Work with Cycle Effect’s online giving platform (Classy) for virtual campaigns and donation page set-up.
  • Responsible for preparation of all developmental mailings, including pulling appropriate donor lists, working with printers, and assisting Marketing Manager on graphics/campaign details

Other Responsibilities: 

  • Assist the Development team with local fundraising and community outreach events. 
  • Act as The Cycle Effect representative to Eagle County Gives collaborative. 
  • Participate as an active member of the community in key groups such as chambers, rotaries, professionals, outdoor and youth coalitions, and attend networking events
  • Participate as an active member of the Development Team
  • Must build relationships with key stakeholders and donors
  • Willingness and availability to attend some practices, races, and all events, including off-season programming. 
  • Being an all-around team player and helping out wherever necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to influence and engage a wide range of donors and build long-term relationships
  • Exceptional computer skills with Google (Docs, Calendar, Drive, Forms, Admin, etc.), 
  • Experience with Salesforce (or other donor database), Mailchimp, and Adobe are highly preferred or technologically savvy to learn new systems
  • Must be a team player
  • Highly organized with a professional demeanor

  • High level of critical thinking skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to build relationships with various people (participants, sponsors, donors, volunteers, board members, etc.)

  • Self-motivated to initiate projects for the improvement of The Cycle Effect
  • Willingness to do whatever is needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum two years of experience in a non-profit organization with demonstrated success in a development role
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred High School diploma/GED is required
  • Valid Driver’s License & clean driving record
  • Resides in Eagle County and has a knowledge of the community
  • Spanish language skills are a bonus
  • Must be flexible to work occasional night/weekend events and willingness to travel to other counties
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Must pass a background check

Benefits Include:

  • Full-time/Year-round position pay range: $45,000-$50,000
