A capital campaign is when a nonprofit organization decides to raise significant dollars in a specified period of time. If you are thinking of doing a capital campaign or just curious if you should embark on one, join the Nonprofit Learning Series on Tuesday, November 5 from 1:00—2:30 to learn from Dan Pennington, President of the Vail Health Foundation. He will share with us the secrets of how they recently completed the largest capital campaign in the Vail Valley by raising over $100 million.

Dan Pennington has been with Vail Health for five years and has 30 years of experience in philanthropy nonprofit business and healthcare leadership. He was the senior development director at Mayo Clinic for 10 years where he was responsible for raising funds that average more than $320 million annually. He was the assistant chair for development and lead planner for a capital campaign for Mayo that surpassed its $1.25 billion goal by $100 million.
