  • Vail Valley Foundation invites all Eagle County residents to enjoy free live music all summer long

VVF’s Community Concert, Hot Summer Nights, and ShowDown Town are all free offerings for the whole community to enjoy!

Avon, Colo., July 20, 2022 – In between the day-to-day, black-and-white parts of our lives, the arts are here to help fill in the color. Here in the Vail Valley, live music is aplenty to help feed our souls. The nonprofit Vail Valley Foundation (VVF) is excited to offer free live music across Eagle County all summer long to complement all of the other entertainment offerings that make living, working and visiting the Vail Valley so special.

In addition to the ongoing Moe’s Original BBQ Hot Summer Nights at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater in Vail and Alpine Bank ShowDown Town at Eagle Town Park, the VVF recently announced the second annual Free Community Concert coming to The Amp Friday, Aug. 26, at 6:30 p.m.

Featuring local bands The Runaway Grooms and Shakedown Family Band, the Community Concert is free and open to the public. For more information, visit www.grfavail.com/vvf-community-concert-2022.

Make memories and start or continue traditions by bringing your friends, family and co-workers to a free concert this summer.

About the VVF Community Concert bands

Born from the rich culture of the Colorado mountains, The Runaway Grooms bring a refreshing take on contemporary jam band music. A local favorite, the band captures elements of funk and psychedelic rock while simultaneously celebrating the traditional songwriting roots of Americana music. You might have seen The Runaway Grooms at the GoPro Mountain Games, the ShowDown Town Concert Series in Eagle, AVONLive or other festivals across the state. Find more at www.therunawaygrooms.com.

The Shakedown Family Band is coming in hot and features the stellar lineup of Scott Rednor, Michael Jude, Rob Eaton Jr., Bill McKay, Brian Loftus and Kory Montgomery. The band performs some new Go MAPS Music originals, along with all the songs you had no idea you wanted to hear. For more, visit www.shakedownbarvail.com.
