Economic Council of Eagle County

The Economic Council of Eagle County was incorporated in 2006 as a 501c3 corporation to promote the long term economic health of Eagle County. Vail Valley Partnership manages the operations and efforts of the Economic Council as our economic development platform.

Economic Council of Eagle County mission:
Promote the long-term economic health of Eagle County.

Economic Council of Eagle County vision:
Eagle Countys economic base will be strong, diverse and resilient

The efforts of the Economic Council of Eagle County focus on four main areas of emphasis:

1. General Economic Development Inquiries and Promotions. This includes providing information as requested to potential new businesses in the area, and providing accessible economic development information through the VVP website.

2. Regional and Local Collaboration and Coordination. This umbrella area includes focused and regular actions designed to bring together elected officials and private industry representatives from all areas in the Eagle River Valley. Key in the collaboration will be the Vail Valley Merchant Alliance and the Vail Valley Economic Advisory Council.

3. Research. Research activities will include current research performed through the Economic Council, as well as new research activities designed through review of best practices in peer communities and/or research requested by public or private entities associated with the Vail Valley Partnership/Economic Council of Eagle County. This area also includes data provision, resource networking, meeting support, and facilitation for economic development activities throughout Eagle County.

4. Community Programming. The Partnership and the Economic Council will focus on a variety of community initiatives that are in alignment with the Eagle County Economic Development Plan, including the Health & Wellness Initiative, Sports & Events Coalition and the Vail Valley Merchant Alliance.
