Vail Valley Sports & Event Coalition

Mission:
The Sports & Event Coalition is a special, dedicated effort led by the Vail Valley Partnership and in conjunction with each municipality & recreation districts within Eagle County to become a major force in economic development

Objectives:

1. Lead economic development & economic growth in Eagle County via tourism, specifically via special events & sporting tournaments
2. Establish regional cooperation amongst all municipalities
3. Utilize underused infrastructure for maximum economic benefitEagle County has an opportunity to increase usage of our already built facilities to drive overnight visitation and economic vitality during need times. A regional, collaborative approach can help all individual municipalities & entities reach their goals more effectively & efficiently.

The Partnership is taking an active role to establish partnerships amongst all stakeholders to provide adequate venues for many desirable and potentially beneficial events. This will result in increasing the economic vitality of the Eagle County and individual municipalities.

Infrastructure:

24 multi-sport fields

19 tennis courts

16 baseball/softball diamonds

15 golf courses

7 sand volleyball courts

4 skate parks

3 whitewater parks

Additional facilities include Dobson Ice Arena, Eagle Fairgrounds Sports Complex, Gypsum Sports Complex, Edwards Field house, Freedom Park, Nottingham Park, Eagle Ice Rink, Eagle River Center, etc.
